Why Poseidon Lost Favor

Poseidon was originally championed for its efficiency in zero-knowledge proofs, but concerns over its long-term security margins and potential vulnerabilities in a quantum setting have prompted the Foundation to seek alternatives. According to developers familiar with the decision, the team now prioritizes provable security over raw performance.
